On March 11-12, 2008, UTSA students had a chance to vote on their
2008-2009 SGA Officers and Senators. There were 53 candidates who filed for the 2008-2009 Elections (12
officer candidates and 41 Senatorial Candidates) This total did not
include Write-Ins.
Three Positions (President, Treasurer and Secretary) saw no candidates capture a majority, thus forcing a runoff between the top two candidates in each category. Runoff Elections shall take place on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 12:01 AM and conclude on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 11:59 PM. Results for the Runoff will be announced outside of Student Activities on March 27, 2008 at 3 PM.
In addition, several seats were not filled by the Spring 2008 Election. These seats will remain vacant until the Fall 2008 Elections. All Elected Candidates shall take their oath of office at the SGA Banquet on April 13, 2008.
